Vehicle licenses and liability insurance is not required in the US and Canada.
Some jurisdictions are throwing around the idea of having to purchase insurance to operate an electric bike. However, we have not heard of any laws that state that insurance is necessary. Make sure you check with your local authorities.
Optional Liability insurance is available, so check with your local insurance agent for more details.
